Solar power plant commissioned

20.09.2013

Gumiimpex-GRP d.o.o. has recognized the potential in renewable energy. In line with our environmental focus, we decided to invest in our own solar power plants.

The project was completed in September 2013 in collaboration with Solektra d.o.o. and Solvis d.o.o. Three integrated solar power plants were built at the production and business premises of Gumiimpex-GRP. Two 221 kW power plants at the 64 c Pavleka Miškina site and one 999 kW in the Varaždin Free Zone, which is also the largest integrated solar power plant built in Croatia.

The 999 kW Gumiimpex solar power plant has an expected annual production of 1,113 MWh of clean electricity. The expected annual yield is about 1,125 kWh per kilowatt of installed power. Power plants also have their own ecological component, and over the course of 30 years of operation, about 16,835 tonnes of less carbon dioxide will be emitted into the environment compared to electricity produced in conventional fossil fuel power plants.
